The horrific attack unfolded just after 2 p.m. on Saturday in San Vicente, near Ensenada, on the Pacific coast of the Baja Peninsula, the Reuters news agency reported. The violence erupted during the last day of a two-day all-terrain car rally, local officials said. Video purportedly of the shooting was posted on social media, showing off-road vehicles lined up along a road and capturing the sounds of screams and numerous rounds of gunfire. IMHO, blaming the tool (guns) because people who can't get the help they need elsewhere, and choose suicide by cop, is missing the whole point. Let's help the people, not ban guns. Or knives. Or single car fatal accidents. In nursing school I once did a term paper on suicide and came across a book in the library titled "The Encyclopedia of Suicide." It strongly influenced my opinion to this day. Then my first employer was a state prison with mandatory firearms training............ Countries (with more heavily armed) citizens have much lower rates of violence (The Swiss come to mind). Maybe taking better care of the citizens is better than spending so much money on the military (and there, we're back to talk of guns and violence.
