gwalchmai
I'm seeing this phrase way too much lately, notably on our "local" NextDoor Queen for a Day begging for money site. Is it an evolutionary branching in our language? Is it new? How much does leaving out "for" save? Am I a stegosaurus? If so do I have to call my tail a Thagomizer? EMWTK. 2
Mrs.Cicero
My usual response to that phrase is “Don’t be touching me now.” It’s so annoying. But it’ll be gone and replaced by something else in a decade anyway. Probably something worse… 5
Batesmotel
I think it’s creepy. I feel for you, is emphatic. I feel you, is just getting lazy. Like How are You Doing is now Sup? A contraction of What’s Up.
minderasr
I thought "I feel you" was a response the the question "you feel me?", meaning "you understand what I'm saying?" or "catch my drift?"

minderasr
Not that I speak in such terms. But if you're ever curious about what the hell they're talking about, I find this site to be very useful. https://www.urbandictionary.com/ 2 3

tous
It has and continues to puzzle me why otherwise intelligent, literate people believe that emulating the language and behavior of ghetto Africans is somehow desirable. 2

Yo fool, I speaks Ebonics (not to be confused with jive). I had to learn a second language. 1
janice6
Ebonics was created in 1973 by a group of black scholars who disapproved of the negative terms being used to describe this type of language. So this is an artificial creation to make illiterates justified in not knowing their own country's proper grammar and English. 4
