Batesmotel
They have had many tugs pushing both ways. It is just bottomed out. It’s just too perfect to have been a mistake. 2

Huaco Kid
What if they got some of those massive water-cannons like the gold miners used (use?) to blast mountains down, and blast all around the stuck-points?
tadbart
Great points about the dick in the water, and then getting stuck. Purposeful? Well, he was on a straightaway... Purposeful, to what end? Chaos in shipping could be HIGHLY inconvenient. Going the long way around is a LONG WAY AROUND. Just some chaos to stoke the flames of the world burning? OK. So. Jesus died in 33 CE. We are stumbling toward 2033 CE, with a plague, and some instability in the world. There is mention of Great Woes, and then He's coming back to bust asses. Wouldn't exactly 2000 years later seem fitting? Well, that's just around the corner....

Blasting mountains down was possible because everything could run downhill. From the pictures it appears there is no downhill there.

Using a Chinese dredge to float a ship full of Chinese merchandise is like buying a Chinese vaccine to fight a Chinese flu.

Dric902
The BBC, citing the Suez Canal Authority, reported that the ship has been corrected by 80% and freed from the shoreline. The report said that there are new hopes that the massive ship-- that is about as long as the Empire State Building is tall-- could be freed completely and shipping traffic resume. Leth Agencies said early Monday that the breakthrough came after intensive efforts to push and pull the ship with 10 tugboats and vacuum up sand with several dredgers at spring tide. The firm said it was awaiting confirmation of the refloating from the Suez Canal Authority. https://www.foxbusiness.com/economy/ever-given-container-ship-stuck-in-suez-canal-partially-refloated .
