I guess I shouldn't complain, it's the first outage in a long time of more than a few minutes,,,,but 6 hours !!

Remember "dial up" and how unreliable that was, we get too used to good service,  Yeah First world problem...

But it did screw up my day, not able to communicate AT ALL !

Sorry to hear this Daka. Ours only goes out when we loose electrical power. Our cell phones still work however. tom.

I can step out my back door, look east and clearly see the top of the cell tower that is 2 or 3 miles from me over the tree line. Then I look down at my phone and see 1 bar or "no service".

First world problmes can be kind of nice at times.

It happens here at home on a daily basis.  And it's getting tiresome.  I'd like dependable internet and phone service.  But I think it's a pipe dream.

You act like you live in a 3rd world country.....oh wait.

Communicating is overrated.  Vodka is not.

Were those words of wisdom?:dunno:

Indeed they were.  I spent 21 years with a badge and a gun but sometimes think my calling should be a life coach.   That was free of charge, you are welcome.

Fair enough. Make it a nice 16 year old single malt and we'll be good!:bier:

I used to have to argue with my ell provider when I didn’t have service and I kept tell them I’m about two miles away from a cell tower that is on a small hill. After looking at their tower they found and realized the tower needed work. Two months it took.

They told me that it was because I lived too close to the tower and that I was in the shadow of the signal.

So I switched to T Mobile and who happens to use the exact same tower and my signal improved considrably. Still no signal in some parts of my property, but I can now do an Oliver Douglass and climbe the pole out behind the house to make a call.
