She attached a letter we'd sent her in 1987 and asked "Do you recall when y'all sent this and what you sent with it?" I responded "Yes, and yes." My wife said my response came off as condescending and that my sister was wanting to know what we'd sent with the letter (a VHS tape). I disagreed and said if she'd wanted specifics she would have asked. I didn't want to assume she didn't remember the gift.
