tous
I remember reading about Iso Griffo in Road and Track back in the day -- 1967? 1968? I still like it, but white isn't the color I would choose for it. Dear Bertone: either hide the headlights completely or leave them exposed. No half measures.

They both truly loved what they did and made huge contributions to motorsports. Remember Granatelli's turbine-powered Corvette? How about Andy Granatelli's Turbine Indy 500 Car that was winning he turbine engine failed. Later investigation by the team would show a fuel delivery problem. They couldn't catch it. Banned the following year!

tous
Is there a winch hiding under the front or is it the Chatty Kathy version of that Studebaker truck? Odd that they used a narrow bed, but no step to make it a step side. Did Jeep borrow that grill?

Odd that they used a narrow bed, but no step to make it a step side. Did Jeep borrow that grill? They were probably using that strap to tow the truck around with a golf cart or ATV. That front end is basically a Studebaker Lark, coupled with a truck bed they used as early as the late forties. That truck was built near the end of Studebaker's run. They were pinching pennies and using what they had by then. The front half and the back half of that truck are from two different eras, but they work pretty well together. That bed was ahead of its time, even in the late fifties and early sixties. It was double-wall side construction, with a corrugated metal floor. It took the rest of the pickup industry a long time to catch up.
