Is that all 1958 Impala or has it been messed with?

The back of it doesn't seem exactly right.

Nope, I believe the lines are original. It is just really unusual to see it with all the trim removed. I love it.

they would have had to weld up all the holes for the trim and it looks like they rounded some of the flat surfaces where the trim ran, like on the rear wings. They did a great job of it.

Did Ferrari let a Citroen designer loose in their studios?  :Alex:

The only attractive part of that automobile are the wire wheels.

I’m not familiar with that car and this is just a guess, but that looks like a bit of Pininfarina fuckery. They have designed scores of beautiful rides, but they dropped more than their share of goose eggs, back in that era. Anyway, that looks like their coachwork.

This is ugly, even for an Edsel.

They got all of the 1950s design features: two tone paint, white wall tires, fins, front ends that can double as snow plows, curved glass, wood trim, roof rack, headlights from a Checker cab and they still managed to make it ugly.

I assume that the trim on the door doesn't line up because the door is ajar; or maybe it just doesn't line up.

Just needs curb feelers.

And a necker's knob.
