It's got the makings of lots of power in a small package, yet it has too much that wouldn't fit and wound up on the outside.

tous
Is that all 1958 Impala or has it been messed with? The back of it doesn't seem exactly right.

I love it. they would have had to weld up all the holes for the trim and it looks like they rounded some of the flat surfaces where the trim ran, like on the rear wings. They did a great job of it. 2

They have designed scores of beautiful rides, but they dropped more than their share of goose eggs, back in that era. Anyway, that looks like their coachwork.

They got all of the 1950s design features: two tone paint, white wall tires, fins, front ends that can double as snow plows, curved glass, wood trim, roof rack, headlights from a Checker cab and they still managed to make it ugly. I assume that the trim on the door doesn't line up because the door is ajar; or maybe it just doesn't line up. Just needs curb feelers. janice6
Edsel sold well in my home town. The big attraction was the drive train, the ugly had to come with the horsepower. Come to think of it, Packard and Studebaker also sold well there. Hmmmmmm!
