They didn't have head rests and I don't believe they had retractable seat belts in 1966. Other than that, yes, I'll take two. janice6 Posted November 10, 2019 Share Posted November 10, 2019 I rebuilt and drove a '66 GTO convertible for a while. I thought the suspension was too soft. When I power shifted, the rear axel would wrap up and hammer against the body bumper. Sudden changes in direction felt like it was suspended on a single rubber grommet in the middle of the body.
