I really like that automobile.

The poor man's Corvette.

It wasn't all that great at anything other than styling, but it is one of those automobiles from my youth that I lusted after.

The Opel Kadette was a fairly common high school car back then.

In the GTO pictures above, those aftermarket seats sort of ruin it for me.

They didn't have head rests and I don't believe they had  retractable seat belts in 1966.

Other than that, yes, I'll take two.

In that classic light metallic blue, please.

I rebuilt and drove a '66 GTO convertible for a while.  I thought the suspension was too soft.  When I power shifted, the rear axel would wrap up and hammer against the body bumper.  Sudden changes in direction felt like it was suspended on a single rubber grommet in the middle of the body.

It had muscle though.
