We picked up a '68 Road Runner little to no miles (New) with automatic. Needed a dent in the fender taken care of. My BIL was at the wheel when we took it for a test drive after re-work. He was punching it off and on. At one point he tried to do the famous burn the tires into the pavement by going backwards fast in the street, and then burning the tires in forward gear to leave a "Loop" on the pavement. He screwed up and floored it in reverse then missed the gear and hit park instead! There was a God awful BANG and everything went dead at an instant stop. No engine, nothing except red lights on the dash. We looked at each other thinking this a'hole just made us buy a piece of broken junk! We were sitting in the middle of the street and had little options. So he hit the starter and it ran well. We found nothing wrong, after we cleaned our underwear. Amazing transmission!
