When I was young I was told that I bore a striking resemblance to the fresh faced kid third from the front in the middle row, looking at pictures of me at that time we could have been brothers.  To the best of my families knowledge he is not related to us, but it is kinda spooky none the less..

Interesting follow up site - some or all of the 1975 catalog. Seems the filled booklet was worth only $1.20 cash but more toward a purchase.

Even gas station gave Green Stamps.  For a while every business seemed to give them.

Our first brand new home was $9050.  It came with the lot completely sodded, an attached garage, Concrete Driveway, Washer and Dryer, Water heater and furnace.

Another course of block to increase the headroom in the basement cost an additional $100.

House payments were $140 a month.  In 1963.

The station I worked at did. One of the other employees wasn't handing out stamps but taking them at the end of the night. He put his stolen stamps in my shirt pocket which was hanging in the back room next to his. I put on my shirt and visited with my girlfreind after work. When my girlfriend reached around my neck and found them, she squealed with delight. tom. :anim_lol:
