Good running flathead of the day, real good, would be about 200 horsepower. 32 coupe is going to be about 2000 pounds. A blower motor would make some more power but of course with 3 mains you're not going to hold it for long, and the song would be bragging about a blower. So, I'm calling an NA motor making 200 in a 2000 lb car.

Nobody raced the big tubby 4200 lb birds, they had to be talking about a 55-6-7 Bird with a Y block. They made about 200 horsepower but decent torque (300 lb/ft) and weighed a little over 3000 pounds. Ran about a 17 second quarter. Thunderbird was never a runner although they put some decent FE motors in the later, when they were Titanics.

Calling it for the coupe. Ain't getting rubber in all 4 gears though. Theatrical license.

It is interesting that back in the early 1960s, a Thunderbird was considered a muscle car.

Several songs of the era mention racing against Thunderbirds.

First hot rod engine I built was a 390 for my 66 Fairlane. I used heads from a 1960 352 Thunderbird engine I found at a wrecking yard; they had machined combustion chambers unlike other FE engines. T Birds did get some special treatment.

In fact come to think of it my next 66 Fairlane engine I built was a 460, and I used DOVE 1970 Thunderbird 429 heads, a desirable head back then. Ha!

So, I was thinking about taking a nap when it came to me.

Eric and Rabbi can increase membership here a hundred fold, nay, a thousand fold if they offer a cute fluffy bunny to every new member.

Like banks used to do with toasters.

My work is done here.

On to nap.

Or use a single bunny and tell people there going to eat it at the end of the month if posts have not increased 25%.

In a recent June 20th 2018 Senate Intel hearing Michael Daniel confirmed that former national security adviser Susan Rice ordered him and his staff to "stand down" in 2016 in regard to Russian attempts to meddle in the 2016 election.

Daniel, special assistant to former President Barack Obama and White House cybersecurity coordinator, told members of the Senate Intelligence Committee that quotes attributed to him in the book, Russian Roulette: The Inside Story of Putin’s War on America and the Election of Donald Trump, were an "accurate rendering of the conversation" he had with Rice and his staff. Daniel's staff reportedly responded to the order in "disbelief."

This was originally reported in the June 20, 2018 edition of the Washington Examiner
