railfancwb
My brother had an after market record player in the 1960's. tom. The record player in a moving vehicle left something to be desired. So Mr Lear - of Lear Jet fame - invented the eight track player. Had one in a car, and one in a Sony stereo component set. The eight track system was adapted to broadcast radio and television and used for various station break and public service announcements. The announcements were edited to length with a precision single edge razor and glue. At the station where I worked the eight track system remained in use well past the point where others had converted to solid state systems. It does have a distinct Italian designer look to it, but so did every sports car back in the day. Like most, I was underwhelmed. Italian styling, Beetle performance. And, yes, it's orange.
Administrators Eric Posted July 13, 2019 Author Administrators Share Posted July 13, 2019 It is the Brazilian model. I like it.
tous
I like it as well, but I looked it up. It basically used Type 3 running gear. Not exactly sports coupe performance. Now, had they put the Porsche 2.2 liter into it, that would have been something.

It would never be a fire breather, but it could be a lot of fun.
