Procyon is both a real star in the Canis Minor constellation and also the fictional star around which Mara and Kultis, planets ruled by the Exotics in Gordon R. Dickson's The Childe Cycle series, orbit. Note that there are no Cylons in the Childe Cycle series, but there are Dorsai, which are way neater. If you haven't read the books in the series, do so.
