TEXAS ??

There are a lot of old houses of that architecture and dating near the same time frame in our area of Texas. We grew up calling them Railroad Houses, because most were originally built by Railroad execs. back in the day. It is nice that so many have been preserved, I'd just like to get inside one of them.

A friend grew up a few houses down in one, but no one was ever allowed in. His folks were pretty odd about such things. Nice people, but you ain't coming in. Tim said the carpet in the formal dining room had to be raked 3 times a day, and no one ever ate in it. He said it was never used, but always looked like it was ready for a formal dinner party.
