Schmidt Meister
Granddaddy Longlegs - Harvestmen Spider Granddaddy longlegs are a common sight throughout the South and are often confused for spiders, but they're actually a species of arachnids called harvestmen. (I realize that information doesn't make 'em any less creepy to some folks.) Here in Florida, everyone I know of, calls them Grandaddy Longlegs but it’s a moot difference. Daddy Longlegs, also known as Harvestmen, are arachnids in the order Opiliones. While they are arachnids, they are not spiders. Unlike spiders, Daddy Longlegs do not have separate abdomens; and they only have two eyes, whereas spiders have three to four pairs. Contrary to some popular myths, Daddy Longlegs are not venomous. They can't be, since they don't have venom glands. They also have no silk glands, and so are unable to spin webs. This clustering behavior provides the Daddy Longlegs with warmth and protection from predators. My wife had 'prepped' several cans of Spam several years ago and when we were purging the pantry, we had seen a recipe for this. We tried it two ways. We did a can fried with just S&P and garlic powder and we did a barbecue version. I can eat it but I'd hate to know I had to eat it on any kind of a regular basis.

Cougar_ml
I remember walking into a grocery store in Korea and seeing displays of Spam gift packs, with a variety of flavors. Probably the biggest culture shock I had over there, other than donuts filled with bean paste. 1 1

Schmidt Meister
HEY CHICAGO, we've got enough of our own nutjobs here already and more flowing in every day. Keep your **** up there. A Chicago police officer on vacation in Florida is charged with two misdemeanors for allegedly pissing into an ice machine at a beach bar on St. Pete beach Monday night. Henry Capouch, 30, is charged with simple battery and disorderly conduct after an employee at Jimmy B’s Beach Bar told police he “discovered the defendant ‘pissing’ on the ice in the machine” around 12:32 a.m., a Pinellas County sheriff’s deputy wrote in Capouch’s arrest affidavit. The bar is located at the Beachcomber Resort Hotel in St. Pete Beach. According to the report, the bar employee told police he asked Capouch to stop soiling the ice, but the CPD officer “began verbally cussing the victim and pushed him ‘a couple times’ with both of his hands.'” Capouch also shoved a security guard who saw the incident, the report said. When sheriff’s deputies found Capouch lounging on the sand with his girlfriend, the five-year Chicago police veteran “was actively resisting, and initially not obeying lawful commands while being detained,” the complaint said. Capouch paid a total of $650 in bail to get out of jail, according to sheriff’s office records. https://www.fox13news.com/news/chicago-police-officer-accused-of-urinating-in-ice-machine-at-st-pete-beach-hotel-bar

She said it was funny but not enough to buy any more of her books. She said it was pretty good.

Schmidt Meister
You may be 'telling' on yourself if you remember when these things first hit the market. I ordered one out of the Rolling Stone magazine (MANY YEARS AGO) and I think I paid around $7 for it.
