I know we all are supposed to hate the NFL here.......

....but you've got to admit it was great to see Andy Reid finally get a ring.

Of course I'm also happy because a trio of Clemson guys also got Super Bowl rings (Sammy Watkins, Dorian O'Daniel, and Bashaud Breeland).

Patrick Mahomes seems like a really good guy too.

I haven't watched a single game since Kaepernick started taking a knee and the NFL let it slide.  But I did tune in to the final 2 minutes of the game last night.  Congrats to the Kansas City Chiefs, and can't wait to see how the "woke" MSM handles naming the champs in the coming days.

It was a great game

.

And that's where it should be.   A fun example of escapism.

I rooted for the ball since i didn't have a team in the game.  From what little I heard (i don't have a tv) on the radio...it was a competitive game.

I don't hate it, I just don't care about it.  I went skipping off to a trauma med class instead, and that was a lot more entertaining.  I did get to watch the Groundhog Day Jeep commercial with Bill Murray when it showed up on my Twitter feed today, and that made me smile.  But I swore off the Browns when they moved to Baltimore decades ago, then I swore off the entire NFL when that ******* started the whole kneeling at the anthem thing.  I don't miss it.  Hockey has always been a better game.

"Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi was on the winning side for Sunday's Super Bowl, and a doggone good deed came out of it. Nnadi is paying the adoption fees for all the dogs waiting for homes at the KC Pet Project, a no-kill animal shelter in the Kansas City metro area"

I lost interest when the St. Louis Cardinals, who we swiped from Chicago, packed up and left for Arizona in the middle of the night.

I lost all interest when football became more of a reality show than a sport.

NB  Having watched hockey for more than 60 years, I have yet to see a hockey player kneel or show a lack of respect before a game in any fashion.

And the NHL and associated minor league teams are about as diverse as you can get.   Players from every corner of the Earth.

They are judged on skill, not inconsequential qualities that the hippie socialists find so appealing.

Game on, eh!
