Us kids used to my "Army Surplus crap of all kinds for pennies by mail order.  remember the gas mask bags......  I even used an old gas mask for diving in the Granite Quarries.  Good Times!

There was a huge Sam The Record Man store on Yonge Street in Toronto...    HUGE selection.  I think they had pretty much everything that had been in print.   IIRC - the one part of the store was three floors, and a main floor that was huge.
