I had the Mystery Spaceship in addition to naked gyroscopes.

Tops and yo yos were big as well.

When we were young'uns, a ten-cent top kept us entertained for weeks.

That, and nickel balsa gliders.

I also had a device with three vanes, black on one side, white on the other, in a glass globe.

The sun powered it and kept me amazed for a long time until I was old enough to understand the physics.

I suppose that means that we were abused.

Yes.  The fascination with physics and questions unanswered were the first manifestations of our White Supremacy.  Of course back then we called it science.

I'm pretty sure that the Universe doesn't care about race, sex, age, gender or political philosophy when it laughs at our attempts to understand stuff.

As an experiment, I suggest that we toss a white galoot,  an African, a woman, a homosexual feller and a hippie socialist from a ten-story building to see if gravity is biased.

Funny how quickly a punched out Balsa glider taught you about CG and attitude.

I remember the first thing I figured out was that I had to make a decision whether I wanted distance or aerobatics.  Airplanes are all about compromises.

The first attempt was always the classic back-loop and smoking hole.
