janice6
Memories. The railroad tracks, multiple, parallel a major divided highway from my hometown to the capitol city. Driving down the highway we would wind up either pacing or racing the train going the same direction. The train typically was traveling 70 mph and so we had it as a challenge to the cars on the road. It added interest to a boring drive.

railfancwb
If memory serves, Flying Scotsman and probably a set of passenger cars was shipped to North America to tour selected Canadian and United States tracks. Memory also says wife and I saw this locomotive resting at a museum in Canada. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1

railfancwb
Just noticed the interesting pattern the locomotive stripes make going from unit to unit. Changing times have brought single unit diesels with power output equal to three or four of those classics Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
