I lost count how many times I pulled a US plug out of a US socket, while vacuuming, moving tool around, you name it. Then you have to align the pins equally or you will rattle the entire box lose. A kid can still get electrocuted while inserting the plug. The pins are so thin they easily bend. The pins are also not good for 15 amps IMO.

Then you have 240 volts on the German system: twice the amperage on the same wiring, less risk of fires, more power for your tools etc. The list is long.
