Batesmotel
Idiot family member got into an MLM selling the world’s worst cookware. That little branch of the family is pressuring the rest of us to join in. Not just buy her crappy pans but become full fledged sales representatives. “It’s for the family”. They want me to toss out all the fantastic pans that I’ve spent 50 years collecting, buy her garbage and film a testimonial video of how I saw the error of my ways and I am now a deciple of Saladmaster Cookware. I firmly told them no. So now I’m just insulting the family honor. Sometimes family sucks. 2 2
Walt Longmire
Buy once, cry once. I bought Lustre Craft stainless waterless cookware way back in the 70's. Someone else will be using it long after I'm gone. They'll have my cast iron also.
railfancwb
Tupperware, which depended on home parties to sell Product, is apparently on its last legs after 70+/- years. A good friend sold the product for a number of years. Whether Tupperware depended on MLMI don’t know.

They are the perfect size and shape for microwaving leftovers. I went on line to see if they still made them. They don’t. But what really surprised me was the cost of Tupperware products. Unbelievably expensive. The only way they were selling this stuff was by guilting family and friends into buying it. Those days are gone. $32 for plastic ice trays?

gwalchmai
My cousin got into Amway in the 80s. I thought we'd lose her. But she kept finding our new address every time we moved. 2

I don't do this to them and they are not going to do it to me. My sisters husband died, she was now free.... My sister told my son she wanted to sell him a "fantastic" annuity. As soon as I heard about this I called my son and told him that if he bought any financial instrument from her I would personally run to his house to strangle him with my bare hands! My dimwit sister has filed bankruptcy two times while pretending to be a "financial advisor". I told her the test of a good financial adviser isn't making money when times are good, It's making money when times are bad. She argued that she was a very good financial adviser. Times got bad. She was told after her second bankruptcy she no longer worked with the company. Now she's on SS since she spent everything she ever made at the Indian Casino. Don't do business with family, it doesn't turn out well for any number of reasons.. 3

My step dad was kind enough to give me and my sister the house here as he moved to be with his sister in another state. Alzheimer's is a real b*tch. Well the deed was in n both our names and we got in many an argument to get it sold. I wish he would have just put one of us on the deed to sell it and then we would give the other half. The day we closed was the last time I spoke with my sister and that was a year ago. Sometimes family does suck. My cousin implied 1X that me and my sister really weren't part of the family because we were adopted. I called her on it and she was quick to apologize and say I took it wrong. Yeah BS. Family, what are you gonna do. 1
janice6
When I got out of the Navy, I went home to find that while I was gone every last thing I owned was given away or thrown in the trash, including all my ham radio gear. Tell me more about how family improves your life.............. Now MY family is close and supportive. My family doesn't even come close to the relationship my Father and sisters had with me. They were at best adversarial room mates. 2
