We trained and armed a bunch of low level thugs. Now they are Taliban thugs.

These are men who can’t be taught to use a toilet, basic hygiene or the principals of bacterial infection. And won’t use toilet paper because of a passage of their scripture that they take to mean that wiping with any other than their hand is a homosexual act.

They think it is OK to rape a woman or an animal. But then you need to kill the woman or animal because now they are unclean. But the rapist is not unclean because the unclean thing temped him first.

It actually is a very serious problem in that population.  Mohammed said it was okay.  So they do it.  Mistrust between factions is such an issues that marrying within the family is very common.

You can't do much if you have little to start with.  Illiteracy is the scourge of mankind!

Didn't we have similar results in Iraq as well? We put a huge amount of effort into building up not only the Iraqi police, but their military as well. When it came time for them to fight ISIS, they absolutely sucked at it.

These people have nothing to fight for. 

The few in power have everything and take what they want from these same people.  Why would these people risk their lives when they have nothing to risk them for. 

Mud huts, centuries old habits, my God, they can't even use toilet paper according to their religion. 

These people that have nothing are allowed to dominate their women.  This is the only power they have - The ability to take their frustrations for a miserable life out on the women.

This isn't civilized and never will be under the laws they have.  They have nothing to fight for.
