My last bike was a Kawasaki 750 triple with mods. Would out run the 140 speedo and ran great when warmed up.

Oil tank for the oil injection system.

Sold it to a guy for his son, informed him it was a monster, his son got killed on it 3 months later doing 135 mph on a back road, alcohol was involved!

I love the looks of some of the older bikes. Lite and easy to work on for the most part but not as much power as todays bikes.

I bought one of those new in 1981 and still had it up until 2012 when my house burned.  Shortly after we rebuilt I stumbled on another one that I will restore if I ever get some time.

When the CBX first came out, our local Honda dealer let me test ride the first one he got.  Looked exactly like the one above.  I took it out highway 9 north of Marion, running about 50 mph I whacked the throttle WFO, and was stunned by its acceleration.  I took it back to the dealer and told him it was too danged fast.  Little did I know the era was dawning that would make the CBX a mid pack runner.  But it was a beautiful bike.

I've owned a lot of motorcycles over the last 33 years, some only briefly.  these are the only 2 I've regretted selling

I sold this in '08 when I lost my job... I was in a panic and started liquidating.  I was back to work 3 months later and started looking for a replacement.  I almost bought it back twice.  The guy I sold it to (for $10,000) was selling it a little over a year later for $15,000.  and then a dealer had it listed for $18,000 a couple years after that

and my '77 FLH.  I bought it at a police auction in boxes for $500 and with the help of ebay and $2000 made it look like this....  My wife fell off the back of it 17 years ago at Laconia and wouldn't get back on it.  So I sold it.  I heard the guy who bought it killed himself on it the month be bought it

Couple of travelers showed up at my house on Saturday. Guy from way up in Alberta, gal from New York. Been on the road a few weeks, just continuing on for more weeks. They arrived tired and dusty but happy

This morning, rested, laundered, cleaned and repacked, they headed out for adventures on through Idaho and Oregon.
