Architects and historians wonder: Maybe the new Notre Dame should be less “overburdened” with Christian meaning
.For some people in France, Notre Dame has also served as a deep-seated symbol of resentment, a monument to a deeply flawed institution and an idealized Christian European France that arguably never existed in the first place. “The building was so overburdened with meaning that its burning feels like an act of liberation,” says Patricio del Real, an architecture historian at Harvard University.
Any rebuilding should be a reflection not of an old France, or the France that never was — a non-secular, white European France — but a reflection of the France of today, a France that is currently in the making.

So why not burn all the cathedrals down and build Mosques? That would reflect the France of today, a France that is currently in the making.

No one wants to learn through history. They want to believe in a utopia created in the minds of people averse to reality.  Try to replicate what was, for future generations to see.  Not create what you think will overwrite history into something that never was, or will be.

Better not let the CommieDemDuh's go there after the New Notre Dame is built. They would find fault with it and want to tear it down just like the Confederate memorials in this country. It doesn't matter what race or weird form of CommieDemDuh they are - they will find fault with anything they believe is conservative in form or format.

That appears to be the goal...

Yellow Vest protestors in Paris battled police during violent clashes Saturday -- newly enraged at the more than billion dollars that have been pledged to rebuild fire-damaged Notre Dame Cathedral, overshadowing their anti-wealth cause.

Black-hooded demonstrators set fire to trash cans, scooters and a car and pelted police with rocks to draw attention anew to their 23rd weekend of protest.

Many protesters are frustrated that the international effort to help Notre Dame has drawn more attention than their five-month-old Yellow Vest movement against wealth inequality, The Associated Press reported.
