SODA OR WATER ?

I used to drink at least one soda a day for 8 years or so. But then quit cold turkey, that lasted a year but water doesn't do the greatest job clearing the pallet when eating greasy foods l like chinese, pizza, or wings. So now I will drink caffeine free sodas when I eat out or if I think I might not like a food.

Otherwise its just water 90% of the time, and sometimes gatorade/powerade when I am doing obstacle runs.

Diet 7 UP, usually have a liter bottle or 2 in the fridge, for me water just doesn't cut the dry "crude" in the back of the throat, need carbonation for that.

Plus you can use Coke to dissolve the rust & crud in an old engine freeing up the pistons etc. It's also good for general rust removal and it's also handy for dissolving lime in limestone to free up fossils.

Never more than one soda a day. I drink a lot of 'mugi-cha' - it's a Japanese barley tea, unsweetened. Tastes like ice water with a slight and pleasant bitterness. I also drink coffee in the morning, and whiskey at night. If there's a funeral to attend, I put whiskey in the coffee until the coffee's gone, then just whiskey.
