That would be my guess.  It looks like someone was off in the placement of the joist and missed by the drywall thickness.

My BIL was a sheet rock contractor and his motto was, "if it looks ok, it's good enough!".

The civilian version of, Close enough for government work.

Yeah - but "Grey man" means blends in, un-noticed.  Draws no attention.

The rig in the picture is the opposite of that.

My thought too.  In my city that car would be demolished in no time flat just to get at the guns and stuff.

It looks like a pickup/SUV, I'm thinking if 4 wheel drive and rear windows are tinted would anybody really see what is in the back seat?

It isn't legal to have a long gun in a vehicle in my state, so it really doesn't matter

Can't have one loaded or with the magazine inserted in mine either.

Easy way around that is having an AR-15 with 14 inch barrel and the flash hider doesn't get pinned or welded on, with a brace on it..  Legally it's a pistol and covered by my CPL. Stupid but true.

Not really something I would want to do,  but no one can see what is in the back of my truck since the back windows are dark.  With CC permit, state allows any type of weapon here.
