I love Nomads, and this one is no exception.

Featuring unforgettable two-door, hardtop styling and finished in Dark Metallic Blue and Silver, this 1956 Chevrolet Nomad Custom features a 6.2L/435 HP LS3 V-8 GM crate engine, GM 4L60E automatic transmission and a 4.11 Ford 9-inch Currie rear end with 31-spline axles. The engine compartment features a custom set-back firewall that has been smoothed, shaved, filled and painted, plus a smoothed and painted upper hood and engine skirts. Supporting features include a CVF Racing front-drive kit, BMR aluminum radiator and support plate, dual electric fans, a polished overflow tank, Roadster Shop headers, a custom-formed intake/air filter system, Holley low-profile oil pan, Magnaflow 3-inch exhaust system and Rotofab painted engine and coil-pack covers, plus button-head hardware.
Riding on a modified Roadster Shop chassis powder-coated Satin Black with glossy hardware, the Nomad’s underpinnings include polyurethane bushings, QA1 adjustable coilovers at all four corners, Mustang rack-and-pinion steering, a CPP brake booster, a chrome master cylinder and booster, 6-piston front Baer Brake calipers with 14-inch rotors, and 4-piston rear Baer brake calipers with 13-inch rotors. Modified floor panels, a Rhino-lined undercarriage and Dynamat insulation enhance comfort. The electrical system is upgraded with Autowire Retro wiring, a relocated Optima Red Top battery with billet tray and powder-coated mounts, an integrated trickle charger with integrated cut-off, Hella HID headlights, and LED turn signals. Other choice details include custom-molded head and tail lights, a Danchuk grille and rubber moldings, a MadMooks tailgate assembly and polished stainless bed strips.
The French-stitched custom leather interior features black, leather-covered and bolstered Lexus front buckets, a matching bolstered rear bench seat, suede sun visors and a suede headliner with custom-fitted chrome strips. Controls include a two-tone Ididit tilt-steering column with a Danchuk wheel, a Lokar shifter, a leather boot and billet bezel, and a drive-by-wire Retro Big Foot gas pedal. Additional details include a Classic Instruments retro gauge cluster, Chevrolet “Bowtie” stainless-steel dash plate, and a painted dash.
Passenger amenities include ceramic-smoked power front side and wing windows, molded and chrome-plated interior vents, polished air conditioning/heater/defroster controls, a leather-wrapped custom center console with billet cup holders, low-profile square-weave carpeting, embroidered floor mats with coordinated leather piping, Vintage Air and a Retro Sound radio. The LS3 engine’s power meets the road via Vision wheels measuring 18x8.5 inches front and 18x9.5 inches rear, mounting BF Goodrich Comp T/A 235/45R18 front and 250/45R18 rear tires. Showcasing renowned Motorama-inspired styling, this Nomad delivers an amazing experience with its countless modern upgrades.
