Administrators Eric Posted July 14, 2022 Author Administrators Share Posted July 14, 2022 In this era, air conditioning was still a rare option. It was available on the '56 Continental Mk II though. The evaporator core and air box was mounted in the trunk, under the package tray, just behind the rear seat. The thing was huge. On A/C equipped models, there are air intake vents on the leading edge of the rear fenders, that fed the A/C air box, like in the pic below. I've worked on a couple of these cars. They are amazing.
