I don't currently own one, but I've owned three M1As and a couple of AR-10s. I fired a metric buttload of 7.62x51 ammo out of M-14s and M-60s in the Army as well. I am a big fan of the caliber.

Have an AR10 that I haven't shot in awhile.  Fine cartridge.

What flavor AR-10 do you have? Both of mine were Bushmasters.

Oh, and I had a FN Scar Heavy for a while too. I liked the action of the rifle, but I wasn’t impressed with the stock. It felt cheap and fragile to me. It shot nicely, but for me, it didn’t do anything so much better than a standard AR-10 to justify the substantial added cost.

And your excuse for such negligence?

She feels lonely.  When that happens, groups spread.

You didn't shoot it enuff. When you do, the rifle trains you to accept, then like, then prefer that feel.

I gave it a fair chance. I just don't think it is worth the price tag. The folding stock in particular feels flimsy. I did not like how the stock flexed sideways at the folding pivot point when a shot it. I wasn't crazy about the charging handle either, whether it was on the left or right side if the receiver. Don't get me wrong, FN makes a fine product, but any advantages it may have over a Bushmaster AR-10 are lost on me. A $1,200 Bushy 7.62 will do anything I would ever ask of such a rifle.

Here is the Scar Heavy on the day I bought it. I bought the .500 S&W Magnum the same day. That was an expensive trip to the gunshop. The .500 Magnum on the counter in the FN pic belongs to a buddy of mine. He bought it the same day I bought the FN and revolver.

Target explains itself.  I'm not a very steady shooter by no means, but this is a bench rest.

The top group as noted on the target was a bore site test, then the others with scope adjustments.

Winchester Featherweight, Too old and stove up to hunt, but always wanted one and decided to go ahead and buy one before I croak. Had it about a year and is my favorite rifle to shoot.
