I don't think they offer shorthand and typing classes in high school anymore.

Schools don't teach anything useful anymore.  My school exposed me to many things so I could decide what to do with my life.  Now schools tell you what to do with your life and teach you nothing useful.  I did take typing since I copied code as a ham radio operator, and I thought typing would help that.

Fairness disclosure:  I knew what my life would be in third grade.  However, I did enjoy what the school exposed me to.

Glad I had the chance to take typing, on real manual typewriters, before the IBM selectrics and then the computers took over.  Ditto with mechanical adding machines just before calculators. :badpc:

My older sister took shorthand, I don't think she ever had to scribble faster.
