I remember carrying a Marlin Camp Carbine back in 93 because our dept. was still bassackwards when it came to carrying the AR I later went to a Marlin lever action in .357mag (still have that). Back in those days when one could mail order a gun for delivery to one’s home - no 4473 etc - one of the big surplus dealers was offering Winchester 92s in .45ACP, surplus from a South American law enforcement entity.
