The Original Air Guitar played by Joe Cocker with The Grease Band at Woodstock on August 17th, 1969 has been bought at auction. The iconic piece of rock memorabilia brought $2 million.
Here is a picture of Joe playing the guitar at Woodstock and as it is today on display at The British Museum in London.
(Other articles to see while you’re at The British Museum include the Rosetta Stone, Crouching Venus, and the Aztec Serpent.)

Seeing this beautiful photograph of a Florida Bobcat on its nest near Siesta Key, Florida reminded me to advise those not familiar with the Florida Bobcat Nesting Protection Act of 1782.

PSA Especially For Non-Resident Florida Visitors

This is Bobcat nesting season in Florida and everybody is reminded that disturbing a bobcat on the nest or disturbing a bobcat nest is a violation of Florida State Statute (69 F.S.C. 668-668d). Violation of this statute includes severe criminal penalties.
Violation of this statute could include fines up to $100,000 and up to 2 years imprisonment.
It currently prohibits anyone, without a permit issued by the Secretary of the Interior, from "taking" bobcat nests, or eggs, or in any other manner, disturbing bobcat nests, or eggs, including possessing, selling, purchasing, bartering, offering to sell, purchase or barter, transport, export or import, at any time or any manner, any bobcat hatchlings, alive or dead, or any part, nest, or egg thereof.

The Rebel Gas Company was based out of Whistler, Alabama, and had 25 Rebel Gas stations and another 75 locations branded as Dixieland. They could be found from southern Mississippi and Alabama all the way down into the Florida panhandle. They were bought out in 1964, and by the late 1960’s, the Rebel brand was phased out, though many Dixieland stations continued to operate under the Dixieland name.

I like the new and improved conservative Russell Brand. He has made major strides in his political life and I am glad for him in those changes BUT:

Podcast host Russell Brand announced that he was baptized as a Christian over the weekend.

(Brand was baptized as a Catholic. Contrary to the overwhelming belief of ‘religious’ people, Catholicism is NOT Christianity. No true Christian believes in many of the ‘religious’ rites/rotes of the Catholic Church. One of the major differences is that Christians DO NOT pray to Mary. Christians DO NOT put wine and crackers in an Easy Bake oven and proclaim that it is the actual blood and flesh of Jesus Christ … I could go on and on.)
