Beta males like democrats do, because they know that they are weak ass losers. They will always give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary big government "safety".

Read it the entire book. It's small, the essays are mostly about resisting the power of injustice by the government. This fellow of the first half of the 19th century (1814 - 1862) might well be living today. “The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation. What is called resignation is confirmed desperation. From the desperate city you go into the desperate country, and have to console yourself with the bravery of minks and muskrats. A stereotyped but unconscious despair is concealed even under what are called the games and amusements of mankind. There is no play in them, for this comes after work. But it is a characteristic of wisdom not to do desperate things..” Edited July 2, 2021 by tous
