Until the mind is in consonance with what "the eyes see". The stomach is cresent shaped and has an inlet on one end and an outlet on the other (essentially). So if you lay one way the contents of your stomach will run to the inlet valve and may leak into your esophages causing acid burning, AKA Acid Reflux. I have had stomach tumors and an operation that inhibited the function of the valve into my stomach. I have this "Reflux" condition in spades. I experience this every night with a favored side.
