Another instance on why it is best to get a second medical opinion, and a third, and a fourth. Until the mind is in consonance with what "the eyes see".

The other day my wife's cardiologist stated that sleeping on your right side was the best to avoid reflux.

“the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on an unsuspecting public.”

But...but...but...won't the heroes feel silly? Don't get me wrong, I believe they did good with the knowledge they had in the beginning. But there comes a time when...

But don't mind me, Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck were heroes of mine.

So was Wile E. Coyote.

And then I grew up.

Hate to say I agree with the Mrs. DR.   If I lay on my right all is good, If I roll to my left within minutes I start getting reflux..:dunno:

I'll try to explain it this way:

Merv Griffin received in excess of 70 million dollars in royalties for his 14-second jingle in Jeopardy. ⁉️

Think

You might want to have your lower esophageal sphincter checked out, GT4494.

That's funny.  The specialist my husband sees for his GERD specifically told him to sleep on his LEFT to cut down on his reflux... and it worked.

I wasn't gonna say anything, my Dr. said Left side also.  Give it about 5 min. on the right side and I start gurglin...

Santa Clara County on Friday recorded its highest daily case total since the start of the pandemic. And if the county’s explosive rise in COVID-19 hospitalizations continues on its current trajectory, Santa Clara County will exceed its hospital capacity in just three weeks, health officer Dr. Sara Cody said Friday.

  • 3 weeks later...

The hoax was in the "necessary steps" taken.

"Those who are not vulnerable should immediately be allowed to resume life as normal."

"The most compassionate approach that balances the risks and benefits of reaching herd immunity, is to allow those who are at minimal risk of death to live their lives normally to build up immunity to the virus through natural infection, while better protecting those who are at highest risk. We call this Focused Protection."

https://gbdeclaration.org/

“Case fatality rate” is computed by dividing the number of deaths by the total number of confirmed cases. But to obtain an accurate C V fatality rate, the number in the denominator should be the number of people who have been infected—the number of people who have actually had the disease—rather than the number of confirmed cases.

"This was enormously important, because it meant that the fatality rate was not three percent, but closer to 0.2 percent; not three in 100, but two in 1,000."

Well, if you're going to believe the "media", then you're all in, anyways.

Seattle hospital "news" story :

"ALL OF THE VENTILATORS ARE BEING USED IN THIS HOSPITAL! "

Nurse employed at said hospital, "We have only ten ventilators and they are usually all in use at this time of year, every year."

Late to the party but the right answer is to sleep on your left side for GERD. It's basic anatomy

Anatomically speaking, laying on your left side should keep the stomach contents away from esophageal sphincter allowing less esophageal reflux.

On November 19, 2020 the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (Royal College) was made aware of statements regarding COVID-19 by a Royal College Fellow, Dr. Roger Hodkinson. Although Dr. Hodkinson has never made the claim, in some online references, Dr. Hodkinson is being incorrectly identified as a chair/past-chair of the Royal College.

https://newsroom.royalcollege.ca/clarification-on-statements-made-regarding-covid-19-by-dr-roger-hodkinson/

SNOPES:

Claim

Dr. Roger Hodkinson, the Chairman of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, called COVID-19 a hoax.

MISLEADING

What's True

A man who identified himself as Dr. Roger Hodkinson, the CEO of a biotech company selling COVID-19 tests, said (erroneously) that COVID-19 was no worse than the flu during a public comment period of a city council meeting in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

What's False

Dr. Hodkinson is not the Chairman of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and his public comments do not align with the consensus of the medical community.

There is a very good reason since you stomach isn't symetrical.

The stomach is cresent shaped and has an inlet on one end and an outlet on the other (essentially).

So if you lay one way the contents of your stomach will run to the inlet valve and may leak into your esophages causing acid burning, AKA Acid Reflux.

I have had stomach tumors and an operation that inhibited the function of the valve into my stomach.

I have this "Reflux" condition in spades.  I experience this every night with a favored side.

I'm just loving the info coming out now about the number of asymptomatic but still testing positive seniors being kept in hospitals, taking up beds, and upping the Covid bed counts, because they can't go back to their nursing homes since they are still testing positive after weeks without symptoms.
