Wanna Know Where Our Problems Today Originate?

Don’t discount the ‘Marxist Indoctrination Factor’ that played a roll in the secondary education of many University Dropouts that became leaders in the Hippie Movement.

Next, there were the Popular Marxist Mentors, older seemingly wise men who were strumming guitars around campfires, croaking their seditious ballads, mesmerizing those young Coeds and capturing the angst and anger so common in young men who’ve not yet found their place in the world and have focused their confused rage on those in society who have illegitimately found their places, with just the right words to make these infantile thoughts seem true.

But the magic that made it all come together for these lost souls came from the mind altering drugs that seemed to illuminate their minds in a subculture of comrades who shared their secret knowledge: The old generations are selfish, wasteful, unworthy, unappreciative, and in the way! Their existing laws and rules were enacted only to hold us (the younger generations) back. Drugs are cool and that is why they’re prohibited. If it feels good, do it. Screw the world, we didn’t create it, and we’re going to take it over, destroy it, and make it like we want it.

This is the **** that devolved into today’s Democratic Socialist Party. In a time when wiser, harder men ruled the world, these iconoclasts and rebels would have been exterminated with extreme prejudice.....now we are being overrun with them.

Good for him.  When you're dead you don't need much.

My view on the hippie movement in a nutshell:

A bunch of societal dropouts were able to convince younger more naive people that if they eschewed haircuts and bathing and allowed these older societal dropouts to have sex with them, then the those youngsters would be hip and cool.  So, lots of young naive people put on their hippie uniforms, stopped bathing and getting haircuts and developed a really bad attitude towards society.

If Facebook had been around back then, we would have been able to trace the movement to the Russians.

I'll give it a twist here.

About 20 years ago, an article appeared in my area's weekly, The Laker, about someone recently deceased. It gave some details about his life, that he was a hippie, a biker and so forth. It also published the item that he was a "cleaner" for the company (CIA). As it turned out, it was true.

I've never endeared myself to put people in a shoe box. They'll always find a way to sneak out of it, like  Schrödinger's cat.

See, things are at times a shade of gray!

In a semi related event

I was at the mall with the lovely wife shopping for Mercy. And I’m seeing all these “ultra high rise” jeans, “mom jeans”

The wife tells me that’s the latest fashion.

so if the era of butt crack, underwear showing, tramp stamp, thong showing is over.....I’m happy

Millions of people came home from military service in WWII, and had millions of babies. These people had been indoctrinated into the Military style of living, and lived, worked and existed in a quasi-military fashion. They obeyed orders, worked hard, dressed and acted similarly, and most were religious. They were pretty boring people, who worked very hard and well together to win a World War, and help develop this country afterwards.

Their children (the baby boomers) see their parents as boring drones that don't question authority, dress the same, act the same, and march to the same drum beat.

The 1960s baby boomers were having their little children tantrums over their parents, and became hippies. The hippies have since then done everything they can to ruin this nation.

So, the Greatest generation, created the Worst generation.

I'm a boomer and never was a hippie. I followed in my fathers foot steps and my kids turned out just fine. Only the weak minded did the hippie schtick. tom. :cowboy2:

That sounds like something a hippie would say.
