Yeah, it's been freakishly mild this winter in the Northwest.  We better get some massive snowfall over the next couple of months or else this summer will be armageddon as far as forest fires are concerned...

It is freaking January in Northern Idaho and we have highs in the 40's and rain.

We hit 68 yesterday.  I broke a sweat taking down the Christmas lights while wearing shorts and a t-shirt.

I've got new grass growing in the yard, my trees are budding, and I'm afraid to look at the blueberry bushes, because I know they're going to get zapped once we finally get another freeze.

Here high on the Western Slope of the Great Divide it is Winter.  It is 2:35 PM,  25 Degrees F and light snow, winds at 33 MPH.

The winds are what get you.  Not only does it make it feel incredibly cold, it causes the snow to drift.  That can make a negligible 2"-3" of snow shut down roads when it starts drifting.
