railfancwb
Several years ago Tennessee Valley Railway Museum in Chattanooga reintroduced its steam locomotive 4501 to the railroad passenger excursion world after a lengthy and expensive rebuilding process. This is one of my favorite photos from the event. The miniature locomotive is a 1-1/2”=1’ model running on 7-1/2” gauge track. The full size locomotive is used for day trips and dinner trains in more normal times.

railfancwb
During the heyday of streetcars, before motor vehicles and paved streets and roads displaced many of them, the companies had open cars aka summer cars, especially useful for Sunday sightseeing and journeys to/from zoos and parks along the lines.
