But at least the good old American nylon belts had an honorable flat spot in cold weather.  Not this new foreign malaise.

My BIL had the belts come loose on his tires, he said on the trip to my place they "thumped".  You could slide you hand right in between the belt and the carcass.…………….

They could be bumpy till they warmed up

Watched a guy driving the opposite direction today with a flat tire (sidewalls shredding, tread separating) on his trailer.  Going back the other way a little later, he was pulled over a few miles down the road using a sawzall to remove the big chunks of tread that were coming off the tire.
