I take it as personal pride that my respect for my wife and other women in my car is shown by things like that, that I do. I have received many positive comments from women, even those that see me opening, holding the door and closing it for other women. Even the waitresses at Denny's have commented favorably on my "nice treatment of my wife". I tip so well, they apparently watch for my car. I have told some that my father would kill me if I didn't show respect to women. I noticed that at the restaurants when I hold a door for others, they respond in kind.
