Do law enforcement entities at all levels have to go through the 4473 process? Or can they just send a purchase order to Ruger etc for so many of this and done of that?

I have, more than once, been in a gun store and admired a pistol or rifle, thinking, I'd like to have one of those, only to later remember that I already had one in the safe.

there is a blog named Weaponsman who did their own ATF check study and figured the number of 393 Million is low buy at least 100 Million and ownership may be as high as 660 Million in the US alone.

its a guess in the US as no real Database exists.

 

but i only need a few more for myself, then more Magazines.

and maybe i`ll need a bigger safe, then more guns to put in it.
