He was a wrecker driver for my department, long time coworker, doesn't matter if he was an actual officer, and he carried a gun.... Our police department wrecker driver crawled under a 4x4 vehicle with a screwdriver to disengage the rear axle for easier towing. I've seen them do this a hundred times.
