The Who: who the **** are you.

Since half yall have new user names, I figure an introduction thread would be good.

Firefighter/paramedic, professional drinker, do not like long walks on the beach.

Based on the evidence presented here, I like cats, ice cream, feeding cats ice cream, and white t-shirts, among other things.  I may have an interest in firearms, too.

Here's a picture of my girls:

Here they are with their mother:

He's the one in black.

And, here's the dog.  I guess I like those, too.

Great idea, r3dot!

I'm Ken. early 40's. a bit of a smartass. Been in emergency medical services (wearing many hats) for over 2 decades. Fast approaching the twilight of that career. Studying Family Nurse Practitioner.

I used to fish, hunt, shoot a lot. School and night shift kinda took that out of me. I'll get it back. Travel the US pretty extensively. Been to Alaska half a dozen times, Colorado almost twice that.

Currently living in Central FL, where I was born. God willing, it won't be where I die.

edit-

when you post a serious reply to a thread that went off the rails after you quit reading replies... :460:

Dante's View, Death Valley.  It was 24°F up there, and it was 88°F down in Furnace Creek. Got to the valley floor and changed clothes.

Brother, that's badass! Looking to cross most, if not all, of the National Parks off my list. About a third of the way done. I've gazed on the highest point on the continent- Gotta stand on the lowest. Those mountains in the background are beautiful!

Attaboy.

We're trying to hit them all too. Just doing it slowly, at least until I retire. Organ Pipe and Terlingua / Big Bend are on next years list.
