Construction workers on the porch of a boarding house on a highway near Fort Benning, Columbus, Georgia. Photograph taken by Marion Post Wolcott in December 1940. The construction workers pay 6 dollars a week per room, and several share a room. They are employed by Belair Construction for a defense housing project job.
