tous Posted April 13, 2023 Share Posted April 13, 2023 Imagine being in a furball and not only concentrating on the other guy, but having to make all of those adjustments to coolers, RPM, propeller pitch,, etc. I expect that most of that came subconsciously with experience, but those aviators were just incredible back then. Sounds questionable, wouldn't they catch fire? And why not seal all of them? I've never heard of this being a problem with other planes.
