Huaco Kid Posted May 2, 2022 Share Posted May 2, 2022 In last year's KISStory documentary, Gene said they saw a fire-breather at a circus or a carnival. He thought it'd be perfect for their show (still very dive-bar-ish) The guy hooked them up with an "expert". They hung around for several days. Gene said it HAD to be him. He blew flames a dozen times, getting bolder each time. Then they took it Live. But.... During all his practices, he had his hair all flat and tied back. During the show his hair was at maximum buoyancy and had a bucket of grease in it. He promptly set his head on fire. Said it really hurt, and scared the hell out of him. He instantly decided he'd never do it again, but the audience went so berserkly insane with cheers and applause, that they knew he'd have to always do it. Gene asked the guy what his budget was. The guy quickly reminded him that everyone always donated items. Gene asked the guy if he gets paid a salary. "Yes."
