My IBM PS1 had a 256 hard drive and 8M ram!!!  The stack of OS installation disks was 3' tall.

I've got a 256M (not gig, but meg) thumb-drive that cost $300, when they were just so freaking cool.

I just bought some ~4"x3" portable 1TB hard drives for $20.

I once turned my gps on in an airplane because I wanted to see if it knew how high it was, or if it just looked at a map table to find the altitude of hills and mountains.  It knew it was at 30,000'

And now my top recorded speed is, like, 560mph.

One time I passed a long, long flight to HI from MN, by watching the graphic of the airplane on GPS display all the way to touchdown.  God, it was a long time.
