railfancwb Posted April 2, 2021 Share Posted April 2, 2021 Lot of railroads tried streamlined steam on passenger trains to hold off diesels. Norfolk and Western’s J class 4-8-4 was probably the most successful. In fact the railroad later streamlined some of its K class 4-8-2s.
