The lefties will doubtless be screaming that they should have tazed him.  9_9

Not too bright trying to stab a cop like that.  There are some frighteningly stupid people out there.

And with a body cam, they cannot claim an improper shoot.

Check this out, an article about it in a POS liberal rag.  Notice the headline, and the picture with the article.

They might say that since it was such a tiny knife the officer should have switched to a 22 pistol rather than his 9mm(?). Seriously, maybe this was a case of "suicide by cop".

The guy's face didn't look right. I think he was high as a kite or possibly something mental, either way, it's the worms problem now.

Body cams that can not be turned off should be required and there should also be a requirement to show the video within 30 days if a FOIA is request is submitted.

what about when Officers are eating,or pooping or having a private conversation with family?

don`t they have a right to some privacy as well?

While they are working, you know being paid to do a job that many people question "their way of doing it", what makes you think they should have private conversations, etc?

If a body cam films something other than a stall door when you are pooping, it isn't mounted correctly.

The din do nuffin's family (from the OP video) has zero chance to say there was any (insert complaint here).

Now if the cops were having a private conversation, eating etc and that same situation unfolded do you think there would be people that question the details of the cops story?

Actually the family is protesting and demanding justice.

There SHOULD be protests, and justice.

I think the deceased's entire estate should be liquidated, and the funds placed into an account to take care of the families of officers that get hurt/killed in exactly this type of situation.

Probably not the type of "justice" that the family is looking for though.

Unless there is something that happened before the video in the OP started they have no reason to protest. What justice are they looking for, their relative went after a person with a knife, that person acted accordingly.

This is why I say cams that can't be shut off should be required.

Of course!

Those reasons being that the body cams, rather than 'proving' police brutality, instead have repeatedly shown lying crooks for the liars and instigators that they are, causing them to be hoist on their own petard over and over again.  That was not the plan. So now the cameras have gone from 'vitally necessary to protect the public from rampant police brutality and trigger happy cops' to 'racist' because they typically show the ne'er-do-wells are not victims of police brutality, but instead work hard to earn whatever they receive, and usually a lot more than they receive...

So what will the family of this officer do with the deceased estate of $2.43?

Approximately 100 protesters gathered outside the Public Safety Building in the wake of Deal’s death, and demanded that police release bodycam footage of the incident.

Some held signs that read, “Stop Gun Violence,” and “Timothy Deal RIP.”

“All of us loved him, and he loved everybody out here. We’re out here for Tim, to get justice for Tim,” Deal’s mother, Gloria, told the news outlet. “They killed the wrong kid.”

“We’re going to make them release everything,” Deal’s father, Michael King, agreed.

Deal’s sister, Taria King, refused to believe that her brother carried out the attack.

“He’s not that kind of person,” King told The Press of Atlantic City. “He would not do that. That’s not his personality. It’s not his demeanor.”
