Similar true story

My wife's  uncle John.  Was shot in the head in WW2 in Europe and left for dead in the field during a fire fight.  They went back to get him and put him in the dead pile and he started moving.  John lived to his 80's with a glass eye and a bullet in the middle of his brain.  He married, had children and worked until retirement.  He walked with a very slight limp due to the bullet in his head.

Dad hated guns.  Period.  End of story.

Mom took me to the hardware store and bought me my first BB gun.  And to the furniture store and bought my first .22.

Dad still had a BB in his forehead, from when he was a kid.  Whenever we talked about guns, he'd make me feel it.

End of story.

My mother's cousin's daughter (or in simpler terms, my second cousin) argued with her daughter for almost half an hour that it was too cold outside to go out without a coat and warmer clothes.  Finally gave up arguing and let her daughter go outside dressed how she was.

30 seconds later daughter came back inside because it was too cold, and got dressed appropriately for the weather.

Sometimes it's less stressful and a lot easier to let people figure things out for themselves.

And after hockey,  all the Moms would bitch at us because our hair was freezing solid, in the parking lot.

Go away Moms.  We don't care.

Because Ed's gonna get in a fight with that long-white-haired defense jagoff.

His hair is freezing, too.

Go away Moms.
