I autocrossed as well, amigo, and enjoyed it.

I regularly came in second to a galoot with a modified Corvair when I campaigned my 911, but I can't complain too much.

The feller was a very good driver and the Corvair, even stock, was more than a match for a 911 at those speeds.

I won a few when I drove my 914.

If I recall, weren't Opel products sold by Pontiac dealers?

tom.

For the wife's first car, I bought her an early 50's Beetle.  One day I was playing with cobwebbing and did the hood/bonnet, whatever the hell it's called on a Beetle, in dark and light Emerald cobwebbing.  It was "distinctive" considering the rest of the car was Salmon color.

Wife's sister borrowed it during the middle of Winter, really cold spurt, and her car wouldn't start.  she said the car was so stiff she had to steer with one hand while the other arm was supporting her boobs to stop them from bouncing so much.  Personally, I don't think they could have bounced much.
